KAFART ARTISTS APPLICATION -ACP-EU Culture Program (West Africa) - AWA

Welcome to the 4th edition of KAFART – Into The Art Of Making. This exhibition aims to delve deeper into craftsmanship in the literal and abstract sense, exploring its significance in our culture, society, and environment. This year, we are excited to present a fresh perspective on the art of making in the realms of art and fashion.  

 
We thank you for your interest in participating in the Kaduna Fashion and Art Exhibition. In order to participate in this year’s event we kindly request that you fill out all the required details and submit the form  before 28th July 2023.
GENERAL INFORMATION

We are excited to announce an open call for artists of various backgrounds, working with mediums such as sculpture, painting, photography, textiles, digital art, ceramics and other craft-based art. This call extends to talented individuals across Nigeria and the Sahel region (Niger, Chad, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Mauritania) who are interested in participating in the esteemed 4th Edition of the Kaduna Fashion and Art Exhibition (KAFART). The exhibition will take place in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria from the 17th to the 19th of November 2023.

KAFART provides an exceptional platform for artists to showcase their creativity and connect with fellow artists, thinkers, fashion designers, curators, and cultural professionals. It aims to foster cross-cultural exchanges and celebrate the development of emerging talents in art and fashion from across Nigeria and the Sahel region.

We encourage passionate artists to apply for this incredible opportunity. While we regret that we are unable to cover travel expenses, we believe that the exhibition will offer a valuable platform for you to gain visibility, engage with a diverse audience, and forge meaningful connections within the art community. Your participation will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of KAFART and help shape the artistic dialogue in this dynamic region.

After you have been selected, works should kindly be produced or ready no later than one month after notification to the artist, by the KAFART Selection Committee.
